Scoring & Awards
Dancers will be evaluated by judges during the Master Classes. The scores a dancer receives from these classes will be combine with their variation scores to reach a final score and placement for the competition.
- The scoring system consists of three elements: technique, musicality/timing, and artistry
- These elements will be evaluated by each judge.
- Total score is the average scores given by all judges.
- In addition to providing a numerical score for each participant’s performance, judges may offer personal comments on the score sheet to help guide participants in their training.
- Winners within each age division will be announced separately.
- All soloist contestants will be awarded based on combined scores for ballet and contemporary.
- Top 3 will be announced in each age category based on the highest average scores within each category.
- All participating dancers will receive a Relevé certificate.

Performance
- After the competition and award ceremony conclude, the winners of each division as well as the judge’s choice numbers, will perform in an ending Gala.
- Solo winners will perform both their classical variation and contemporary/modern dance.
- Winners of the Pas de Deux/Ensemble age categories will perform their pieces at full length.
- At the judge’s choice, any number may be asked to perform, not only the select winners.
- This nonprofit performance is open to the competitors, families, and the general public.
